Request a Copy of a Certificate of Insurance

Unit-owners, Banks, and Mortgage companies may request a certificate of insurance for a specific community association thru our partnership with ECM solutions.

Certificate of insurance

Insurance coverage protects your residence and your belongings in the event of an emergency. It's important to ensure that you have the appropriate coverage for your dwelling. Here are a few quick references for obtaining insurance.

Note: CSI Community Management is not an insurance provider and we strongly recommend speaking directly to your insurance agent to ensure appropriate coverage for your specific dwelling and belongings.

Single Family Homes

Many single-family homes require HO-3 or equivalent insurance policies.

Townhomes

If your association master policy covers the buildings, you will want to seek coverage under an HO-6 policy with improvements or betterment.

If your association policy does not cover the buildings, seek coverage under an HO-3 policy.

You can review your Community Covenants and Restrictions for more information on your association's master policy. Be sure to review the insurance section of your Community Covenants and Restrictions in detail with your insurance agent as you are selecting your coverage option.

Condos

If your condo was constructed after 1986, obtain coverage under an HO-6 policy with improvements and betterments.

If your condo was constructed before 1986 review the insurance section of your Community Covenants and Restrictions for specific information on how your building is insured.

Your agent knows best

While we are happy to provide details and recommendations about common insurance scenarios, we recognize that every dwelling is different. Reach out to your insurance agent and review the specifics of your home as well as your community's Covenants and Restrictions to ensure you obtain the appropriate coverage.
