Hello, Spring!

The season is here, and with the recent swings in temperature, it’s the perfect time to freshen things up around your home. Consider tackling a few key maintenance items:

  • Could your exterior use a good power wash?
  • Is it time to paint or replace the shutters?
  • How is your landscaping looking after the winter months?

A little attention now can make a big difference for the months ahead.

What’s The Deal With Compliance Drive-Throughs And CCRs?

Sentry Community Managers will be driving through soon to make sure that everyone’s homes are looking their best.

You’ll see the acronym ‘CCRs’ a lot – it stands for Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions.

These are the documents by which your community is governed.

The Board – which is made up of volunteers from within your community that every resident has the opportunity to vote on- makes sure that everyone is on the same page and abiding by the CCRs.

Sentry supports your Board in several ways, including routine community drive-throughs to identify potential CCR compliance concerns.

Not always – but these are typically things like non-compliant real estate signs, parking issues, overgrown lawns and gardens, mildew, and missing shutters.

What Is a Non-Compliance Letter?

No one likes to receive a letter that implies you’ve done something wrong.

If you receive a non-compliance letter, it will clearly state which CCR rule is in question.

We know that life moves fast, and you may have already rectified the situation by the time you receive the letter. If you have, or feel that this letter has been sent in error, the fastest way to let us know is through the portal. You can quickly upload an image or respond with questions.

The covenants help protect everyone’s property value and help your HOA Board make sure the impact on each neighbor and the neighborhood at large is considered.

Dues Up-To-Date?

Now is also a good time to make sure you paid your HOA dues.

Many of our communities are on an annual payment schedule, meaning your dues were due Jan 1. Take a second to make sure you’re up to date in the portal.

Remember, your Community Manager is always here to help. Not sure who that is. Click here and select your community to find out.
