CSI COVID Updates

Keeping everyone safe, happy and healthy is our top priority.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to those who have been impacted by this COVID-19 pandemic. We want to thank those who have continued to risk their lives to help others, including healthcare workers, public safety professionals, grocery store workers, teachers, and all essential employees who continue to work on the front line each and every day. We appreciate your bravery and dedication.

Like everyone we have had to change the way we work, but given our resources, technology, expert knowledge and experienced team we have been able to pivot to continue to meet your needs.

Payments – if you’re not paying online through your portal, there is a secure drop box conveniently located at our front door. If you’re having trouble making your payment due to COVID-related hardship, please email your Community Manager who can submit your request to delay payment to your Board. CSI cannot develop a payment plan for you, it is at the digression of your Board.

CSI Office Meetings – all meetings with CSI are virtual. Some face-to-face meetings may be approved with social distancing requirements in place.

Annual Meetings – Most communities in NC are struggling to deal with the on-going risk of COVID-19 transmission and its impact on normal HOA business including annual meetings, board elections, budget ratification, etc.  In response, many NC associations are considering a combination of online informational “meetings” together with one or more mailed written ballots to handle matters that require a formal vote (i.e., Board elections, etc.).  While NC law does not permit HOA members to meet and vote remotely, the NC Nonprofit Corporation Act does ordinarily allow a nonprofit HOA to conduct business through the use of a mailed written ballot.  Accordingly, unless there are provisions in the Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws or the recorded Declaration that prevent it, most NC HOAs can use a written ballot to conduct Board elections, ratify annual budgets and generally do anything that the Members would be legally authorized to do during an in-person meeting.

Maintenance Requests – many of our service providers and partners may only be responding to emergency maintenance requests at this time. However, if you have a non-emergency maintenance request, please submit the request via your owner portal so that your Community Manager has documentation of the issue and can take appropriate action to resolve the concern.

If a member of your household has had any COVID-19 related symptoms please let our team know. The owner will need to show a negative test.

The owner must have unit cleaned and vacated prior to CSI entering the premises. This option is at the cost of the owner.  The must be professionally cleaned and sanitized. If you need recommendations for a cleaner, we are happy to provide you with a few options.  The Association will require a detailed report of the cleaning.

The owner hires her/ his own persons for the repair, they document and send information to us and then we reimburse if it is the HOA responsibility.  The HOA will require production photos and a full report of all repairs.
